"You and Mom have the occasional date night," Cash reasoned with us. "I need one, too." We couldn't argue, so the Cash Monkey had Emma, a cute ten-pounder from around the way, over to our crib for some hang time. They ate, they cried, they spit up. Then something incredible happened: Cash went to sleep in the Boppy, which had recently fallen out of favor, and Emma, notoriously fussy on most nights from 5-11, took a test spin in Cash's swing and CONKED THE HECK OUT! The parents, flanked by sleeping babies on either side of the dinner table, enjoyed take-out, a little wine and even dessert. It's like all stars, planets and other stray celestial objects were in full-on alignment. Nice.

date night II
