Track Meet!

The monkey smiled and sweated his way through his very first track meet tonight, a kids all-comers event down at Grant High School. He powered through six events (60m, 200m, family 400m relay, high jump, long jump and softball throw) and could barely finish each before exclaiming, "I wanna do it again!" He left with two ribbons (earned for giving it his all) and a promise from mom and dad to hit next week's meet. (Side note: family friend Roxy Sanchez won the 8-year-old girls 60m and 200m outright against some stiff local competition. Go, Roxy!)
